There was a concerning incident during the second day of Miami Dolphins’ training camp as a player had to be airlifted to a hospital.
Offensive lineman Bayron Matos sustained an injury towards the end of practice and was subsequently flown to a nearby hospital. Reports indicate that he is in stable condition.
The Dolphins have not provided any further details regarding the injury or Matos’ current status.
Bayron Matos, originally from the Dominican Republic, is practicing as an offensive tackle with the Miami Dolphins.
Matos was not selected in last year’s draft and spent the season on the practice squad. He transitioned from college basketball to football, playing for the University of New Mexico and then the University of South Florida.
Matos participated in the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, aiming to bring in talent from outside the United States and Canada.

Matos’ pro day performance was impressive, showcasing his speed and agility despite his size. He ran a 4.88 40-yard dash, which would have been the fastest among linemen at the NFL Scouting Combine.
