During a news conference in Bradenton, a heckler launched into a profanity-laced outburst on Thursday, criticizing the immigration policies of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The interruption occurred while the governor was honoring the late pro wrestling legend and Florida resident, Hulk Hogan, who had passed away earlier in the day.

The heckler, situated towards the back of the room, was captured on camera standing up and aggressively pointing at DeSantis while shouting, “Alligator Alcatraz — is that your legacy?”

As DeSantis stopped speaking and addressed the disruption, authorities stepped in.

“Hey, stop, stop! Stop! Get out of here! Get outta here!” exclaimed the Republican governor, motioning towards the heckler.

Despite being removed by authorities, the unidentified heckler continued shouting. The incident occurred just three minutes into DeSantis’ speech.

At the time of the interruption, DeSantis was reminiscing about watching Hogan’s famous WrestleMania III match against André the Giant.

“I remember WrestleMania III. He was up …,” DeSantis began, before being interrupted by the heckler’s comment about Alligator Alcatraz.

DeSantis recently allocated $245 million to Alligator Alcatraz, an immigration detention center in the Florida Everglades.

Prior to the incident, DeSantis began the press event by expressing his sorrow over the unexpected death of 71-year-old Hogan in Clearwater earlier that day.

“I was saddened to hear about Hulk Hogan’s passing today. He was a major figure for anyone in the Gen X generation,” DeSantis remarked.

Hogan, originally from Georgia and known offstage as Terry Bollea, grew up in the Tampa Bay area and considered Florida his home for most of his life.

“Back then, during big events like WrestleMania, you could attend in person… they didn’t even have pay-per-view. … It was closed-circuit,” DeSantis reminisced.
