A former close friend of Hulk Hogan claims to have accurately predicted the wrestling legend’s declining health. Bubba the Love Sponge had been voicing concerns about Hogan’s health since last month, even suggesting he was on his deathbed in the ICU for six weeks.

Hogan passed away on Thursday at the age of 71.

“I can’t deny what I’ve said before and what I’ve accurately foreseen. I am now the person who was truthful about Hulk Hogan’s physical condition,” Bubba the Love Sponge mentioned on his radio show.

He expressed regret at being proven right about Hogan’s health, as it ultimately led to the wrestling icon’s passing.

Bubba and Hogan had a complex relationship, particularly after Hogan’s involvement in a sex tape with Bubba’s then-wife, which was released by Gawker in 2012. This incident resulted in Hogan winning a $115 million lawsuit against the media outlet for invasion of privacy.

Despite their history, Bubba felt disappointed when his warnings about Hogan’s health were disregarded by those close to the wrestling star.

A statement confirming Hogan’s passing was posted on his Instagram page.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of a legend,” the post read. “Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his family.”
