Rebecca De Mornay is not holding back her thoughts on the reboot of one of her most famous films.

The 65-year-old actress recently expressed her feelings about the upcoming remake of the classic 1992 horror movie, “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle,” as she was not involved in the project. De Mornay mentioned that she was not contacted about the reboot.

“Nobody. I discovered it myself, and I jokingly felt quite upset,” De Mornay told the New York Post. “It felt like a betrayal, like how dare you have someone else play that role.”

De Mornay gave a memorable performance as the vengeful nanny Peyton Flanders in the thriller, alongside Annabella Sciorra, Julianne Moore, Matt McCoy, Ernie Hudson, and others.

Despite her strong statement, the actress is open to watching the new version.

“I’m actually curious to see it, to see if they can match what we did,” she added.

Her comments come at a time when Hollywood is focusing on remakes of classic films instead of creating new stories.

De Mornay also criticized Hollywood reboots as she recently starred in the thriller “Saint Clare,” with Bella Thorne and Ryan Phillippe.

She expressed her frustration with the lack of new stories in Hollywood and praised “Saint Clare” for its originality.

“There’s a kind of laziness of falling into ‘Oh, well, that works. So let’s just do that one again,’ rather than coming up with a new story. So that kind of bugs me a little,” she admitted.

De Mornay enjoyed the remake of “A Star is Born,” highlighting the various versions of the film throughout the years.

“We tend to think a movie is one cast. I guess it doesn’t have to be, if it’s a really good story, a good script,” she said. “I just wish there was also more imagination with new scripts, because it feels like people are just falling back on what once were.”

Representatives for De Mornay did not respond immediately to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

A recent study has found that drinking coffee may have some surprising health benefits. Researchers discovered that consuming a moderate amount of coffee each day can actually lower the risk of certain diseases, such as heart disease and stroke.

The study observed over 500,000 people from 10 European countries over a 16-year period. They found that those who drank around three cups of coffee a day were less likely to develop heart problems or have a stroke compared to non-coffee drinkers.

This news comes as a welcome surprise to many coffee lovers who may have previously believed that their daily caffeine fix was detrimental to their health. However, it’s important to note that moderation is key – excessive coffee consumption can still have negative effects on the body.

Overall, this study adds to the growing body of research that suggests coffee can have positive effects on health when consumed in moderation. So go ahead and enjoy your morning cup of joe – it may be doing more good than harm.
