The 11 victims injured in a random stabbing incident at a Walmart in Michigan are showing positive signs of recovery, according to medical officials on Sunday. The 42-year-old suspect in custody remains unidentified, raising questions about the motive behind the attack.

Munson Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in northern Michigan, reported that seven victims are in fair condition while four are in serious condition. The ages of the victims have not been disclosed.

“In the last 12 hours, we have seen promising signs of improvement among our patients,” the hospital stated in an update.

The hospital commended its team of healthcare professionals for their dedication and care in treating the victims.

Further details about the suspect are limited as of Sunday morning.

Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea confirmed that a 42-year-old man entered the Traverse City Walmart alone and used a folding knife to attack nearly a dozen people. The suspect was quickly apprehended without incident, thanks to the assistance of citizens in the store.

Witnesses described the scene as chaotic and frightening, with onlookers shocked by the sudden violence in their community.

FBI agents have joined the investigation to provide additional support, as Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced on social media.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Walmart spokesperson expressed condolences for the victims and emphasized the company’s cooperation with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation.
