A new armored vehicle designed for presidential protection on golf outings has been introduced, known as “Golf Force One.” This vehicle, equipped with ballistic protection, was seen in action during a golf game between President Donald Trump and his son, Eric, at the Trump golf course in Turnberry, Scotland.
The White House confirmed that “Golf Force One” is included in the presidential fleet of specialty vehicles, without providing further details.
This development follows an attempted assassination on Trump while he was playing golf at his Florida course just 10 months ago.
According to the General Services Administration, a Polaris UTV can be modified by Chicago-based company Scaletta Armor with an “add-on armor kit to Polaris XP 1000 Ranger UTV with protection scalable to mission.” The cost of this kit is approximately $190,000.

Trump was in Scotland for a meeting with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
During the golf outing, Trump drove a regular golf cart, with the armored vehicle following a group of carts carrying Secret Service agents.
Although the president prefers driving his own cart, the UTV was likely present as an additional security measure in case of an emergency in the vast open space.
In the most recent assassination attempt on Trump in September 2024 at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, a Secret Service agent noticed a man concealed in the bushes along the fence line of the sixth hole.

“The agent spotted the barrel of a rifle pointed directly at him,” as per a Justice Department press release. “As the agent started to retreat, he witnessed the rifle barrel move, prompting the agent to fire at [Ryan Wesley] Routh.”
This incident followed a shooting in July when Thomas Matthew Crooks fired at the president during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of a rally attendee behind Trump.
In 2020, Iran released a digitized video showing a drone targeting Trump on a golf course as part of a “vengeance” strike following the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

“Golf Force One” now joins a lineup of armored vehicles that includes the Beast, a 10-ton mobile fortress with walls eight inches thick and reinforced glass windows that can withstand high-caliber rounds. It is equipped to dispense tear gas, grenades, and pump-action shotguns.
