The search for the suspect responsible for the deaths of a married couple in Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas, while they were hiking with their two young daughters, has entered its fourth day. Police released a sketch of a man wanted for questioning and stated that the killer likely sustained injuries during the attack.

Arkansas State Police released a composite sketch on Monday night of a man wearing a baseball hat, described as a “person of interest” seen in the park on Saturday.

Clinton Brink, 43, and Cristen Brink, 41, were discovered dead on a walking trail in the park on Saturday afternoon. Their daughters, ages 9 and 7, were unharmed and are now with family members, according to the police.

While the motive and cause of death have not been disclosed by authorities, the state police issued a statement alongside the sketch, suggesting that the suspect “likely sustained an injury while attacking the couple.” No further details were provided.

The family of the victims released a statement on Monday, requesting privacy and asking for any information that could assist in the investigation to be shared with the authorities.

“Clinton and Cristen died heroes, protecting their little girls and they deserve justice,” the statement read. “They will forever live on in all of our hearts.”

The family had recently relocated from South Dakota to Prairie Grove in northwest Arkansas. Clinton Brink was slated to begin a job as a milk delivery driver in Fayetteville on Monday, according to his employer, Hiland Dairy.

The suspect, described as a White male with a medium build, was seen wearing specific clothing and carrying a black backpack. Police also mentioned that the suspect was driving a black sedan towards a park exit, possibly a Mazda with a covered license plate.

Park visitors present at Devil’s Den on Saturday have been urged to review their photos and videos for any potential images of the suspect.

The bodies of the couple were sent to the state crime lab to determine the cause and manner of death.

Devil’s Den State Park, located about 140 miles northwest of Little Rock, spans 2,500 acres and boasts hiking trails and rock formations.
