The former partner and convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein has been relocated to a different prison facility, as reported by Fox News Digital.
Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved from a federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida, to the Bureau of Prisons at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Bryan, Texas, according to her attorney.
Neither the Bureau of Prisons nor Maxwell’s attorney have provided a reason for the transfer.
Maxwell recently met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Florida to answer questions about her involvement in Epstein’s sex crimes, where she assisted in procuring underage girls for him to abuse.
Maxwell’s legal team has indicated that she would be willing to testify if granted immunity, a request that has been denied by the House Oversight Committee.
Separately, Maxwell’s attorneys have petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to hear her appeal of her 2021 conviction, arguing that she should have been included in Epstein’s non-prosecution agreement.
As discussions about the extent of Epstein’s crimes intensify, Maxwell has once again become a prominent figure in national news.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement in Epstein’s crimes, and she has made a plea to President Donald Trump for a pardon, although no leniency is being considered.
Maxwell is scheduled to testify in front of a committee on Aug. 11.
