DOJ, FBI INVESTIGATE BRUTAL CINCINNATI ASSAULT CAPTURED IN VIRAL VIDEO

“There is no room for violent crime in Cincinnati, whether it involves fights or gun violence. We will track down those responsible and ensure they are held accountable, no matter who they may be,” stated Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval during a press conference on Friday.

Senator Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, criticized the mayor’s response to the violent incident as inadequate and highlighted Pureval’s absence from Cincinnati when the altercation occurred.

The altercation occurred between Elm and Fourth Streets, with videos of the incident quickly circulating on social media. The footage depicted a group attacking two individuals, including a woman who was rendered unconscious while onlookers recorded the event.

Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy spoke with the woman involved, identified as Holly.

“She is a single working mother who attended a friend’s birthday celebration. It is unacceptable that there were no police officers present in that area of Cincinnati on a Friday night, nor an ambulance to transport her to the hospital,” he remarked. “Hard-working Americans should not have to fear for their safety when enjoying themselves in our cities.”

POLICE IDENTIFY MULTIPLE SUSPECTS IN BRUTAL CINCINNATI STREET FIGHT: ‘CRUEL AND ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE’

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge disclosed that out of approximately 100 witnesses or participants in the altercation, only one individual contacted law enforcement.

“It is unacceptable that no one called the police,” Theetge expressed. “The traffic was chaotic. People witnessed the incident. The altercation occurred in front of traffic. Why did people not alert us?”

During a press conference, Theetge described the brawl as “an act of violence that deeply affected us all.” She pledged that all those involved in the assault would be held responsible and urged the public to notify law enforcement upon witnessing violence.
