A 23-year-old individual is facing charges of disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure, and criminal trespass after reportedly throwing a neon-green object onto a court during a recent professional women’s basketball game.

The person, Delbert Carver, was arrested and booked into a local jail in Georgia. This incident happened not far from another similar occurrence last week.

Carver’s legal case is currently “pending” as per information available online. He was released from jail on bond late Sunday.

According to a police affidavit reported by ESPN, Carver claimed that the incident was meant as a joke to go viral. Carver was allegedly accompanied by friends at the game.

The WNBA took quick action by announcing that the individual responsible had been arrested and would face further consequences for their actions in throwing an object onto the court.

The league emphasized the importance of safety for everyone at the arenas. Any intentional disruption like this will result in immediate ejection, a minimum one-year ban, and potential legal consequences.

Both incidents involving such objects happened during away games of the Golden State Valkyries – the second one occurring in a game against the Chicago Sky.

After the second incident went viral, a player from the Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham, issued a public service announcement urging fans to stop such actions that could harm the players.

Another player, Angel Reese, humorously pointed fingers at a teammate for the incidents, adding to the online chatter surrounding the peculiar events.
