Reality TV personality Brandi Glanville recently shared a cautionary tale with her followers after experiencing severe chemical burns on her face.

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star took to social media to explain that she applied Nair, a hair removal product, to the lower part of her face in an attempt to eliminate what she believes is a “parasite” residing in her face, whom she has named “Caroline.”

“I know I look fabulous,” Glanville, 52, joked in a TikTok video documenting the aftermath. “Good news,” she added, “You don’t need to spend a lot of money on peels and lasers anymore.”

Despite Glanville’s lighthearted approach in the video, her face appeared red, irritated, and burned.

In the video, she mentioned that she thought using Nair would worsen the parasite, leading to an improvement in her skin.

“Nair is the secret to eternal youth. I’ve cracked the code,” said the “The Traitors” star. “But I may have gone overboard.”

In a caption accompanying the viral clip, Glanville advised viewers to test the product before applying it.

“Beauty hacks (this is a good one but do a test patch) I did 7 minutes and I’m on fire soooioko don’t to 7 minutes it also burned the loose skin off my arms & its 7 dollars mix up some aloe vera, cucumber and black tea put it in the freezer put it in the spray bottle and once its cold enough spray all day cause I’m in some pain.”

Concerned followers urged Glanville to seek professional medical advice before trying any more DIY treatments.

“NAIR is not meant to be a chemical peel. Brandi, please don’t do anything that’s not recommended by a professional doctor. & even then be cautious & get second opinions. This can be so dangerous. I hope you have a speedy recovery,” one user commented.

Another added, “Please do NOT put Nair [on] your face!!”

“Nair is NOT the fountain of youth! I hope you heal well, because that looks like a terribly, painful, infected burn,” a comment read.

Glanville’s beauty mishap occurred after she was hospitalized in April due to ongoing health issues related to a possible parasite.

The reality star provided an update on social media at the time.

“My head and neck would not move for four hours this morning,” the 52-year-old TV star wrote. “I could not get out of my bed. I called 911 had a lovely trip in the ambulance now I am at this amazing place after sitting in a wheelchair in the waiting room for four hours.”

The reality star did not disclose specific details of her hospital visit.

In a stunning turn of events, a small town in Texas is making headlines for its record-breaking heat wave. The town of Sunville has been experiencing temperatures upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit for the past week, leaving residents and officials alike scrambling for ways to stay cool.

Local businesses have reported a surge in sales of air conditioners and fans, as well as cold beverages and ice cream. The town’s public pools have also seen a significant increase in visitors, with many residents flocking to the water to escape the scorching temperatures.

Officials are urging residents to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, as the heat wave shows no signs of letting up in the coming days. The town’s emergency services are on high alert, ready to respond to any heat-related emergencies that may arise.

Meteorologists are attributing the extreme temperatures to a high-pressure system that has settled over the region, trapping hot air and preventing any relief from cooler temperatures. While heat waves are not uncommon in Texas during the summer months, the intensity and duration of this particular heat wave have taken many by surprise.

As residents of Sunville continue to cope with the oppressive heat, many are hoping for a break in the weather soon. In the meantime, the town is coming together to support one another and stay safe in the face of this record-breaking heat wave.
