Authorities have confirmed that there are injuries in an active shooter situation at Fort Stewart in Georgia.
Fort Stewart confirmed the ongoing active shooter situation just before noon on Wednesday.
“The incident is still developing at this time,” a spokesperson stated.
Fort Stewart went into lockdown around 11 a.m. following a shooting in the 2nd brigade combat area.
“The incident is still under investigation, and it is unclear if any suspects have been identified,” the spokesperson added.
