Ghislaine Maxwell denied access to service dog training in Texas prison

Ghislaine Maxwell, the former associate and ex-partner of Jeffrey Epstein, has been prohibited from participating in service dog training programs at her new prison, as reported.

Maxwell was moved from a federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida, to the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, where she has more freedom compared to her previous location. According to NBC News, the prison camp in Bryan offers service dog training programs to inmates.

However, Paige Mazzoni, CEO of Canine Companions, stated that puppy training will not be available to inmates like Maxwell at FPC Bryan due to their policy of not allowing individuals with crimes involving abuse towards minors or animals, including those of a sexual nature. This policy aims to protect vulnerable individuals, such as puppies.

Dave Aronberg, former Palm Beach County State Attorney, mentioned that Maxwell’s new prison resembles a dorm-style housing situation rather than a traditional cell. Her transfer to FCP Bryan occurred after meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Florida to discuss her involvement with Epstein.

The Trump administration denied claims of preferential treatment towards Maxwell, emphasizing that prisoner movements are based on safety and danger concerns.
