Authorities have made a second arrest in connection to the recent incidents of green sex toys being thrown onto basketball courts during WNBA games.
The latest individual, 18-year-old Kaden Lopez from Arizona, was taken into custody after allegedly tossing a sex toy into the crowd at a WNBA game between the Phoenix Mercury and Connecticut Sun, as reported by FOX 10.
Reports indicate that Lopez took the sex toy out of his sweater pocket during the game and threw it towards the seats in front of him, hitting a spectator in the process.
“Video evidence shows Lopez, seated in his spot, retrieving the green object from his sweater pocket and then hurling it forward. He then stands up and leaves the area,” according to court documents cited by FOX 10.
Another spectator was also reportedly struck by the object.

“The adult male victim reported that he was attending the WNBA game with his 9-year-old niece when he felt something hit his back and land next to them. It turned out to be a sex toy. He wishes to press charges,” the court document stated.
Earlier, the WNBA disclosed that another individual, 23-year-old Delbert Carver, had been arrested for throwing a similar sex toy onto the court during a game between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries on July 29.

“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans,” the league emphasized in a statement.
“In accordance with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan found intentionally throwing an object onto the court will be immediately ejected, face a minimum one-year ban, and may be subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”
During a recent game between the Indiana Fever and the Los Angeles Sparks, WNBA player Sophie Cunningham appeared to have been hit by a thrown sex toy in the final minutes of the second quarter as the teams prepared to resume play.
