Attorney for Ghislaine Maxwell embraces representing the underdog

The legal representative for Ghislaine Maxwell expressed his dedication to “representing the underdog” as he works towards securing the freedom of Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice.

Maxwell was recently moved from a federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida, to a Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, according to her attorney. The reason for this transfer was not disclosed by either Maxwell’s attorney or the Bureau of Prisons.

During a phone interview, Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, emphasized the importance of not rushing to judgment and throwing stones at federal officials regarding his client’s move to a minimum-security prison camp. Markus refrained from providing further comments on the case at the moment.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement in Epstein’s sex crimes.

A senior administration official clarified that any claims of preferential treatment towards Maxwell are baseless, as prisoners are often relocated due to safety concerns.

Markus, who has previously represented individuals like former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, was praised by fellow criminal defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh as “the total package” for his brilliance, dedication, and humility.
