TAMPA – An $80 million economic boost is in the works for East Tampa, courtesy of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council.
The East Tampa Innovation Center, a project aimed at revitalizing the area, is set to bring jobs and housing opportunities to the community.
The $80 million project aims to provide job training and affordable housing options in an area where many residents struggle financially.
Collaborations with USF and HCC will offer programs in manufacturing and culinary arts to enhance skill development in the community.
The project is expected to open in 2027, offering hope for a brighter future in East Tampa.
