Law enforcement officials from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation apprehended three individuals who are believed to have aided a suspect wanted for a quadruple murder.
The three suspects, Giovonte Thomas, Tanaka Brown, and Dearrah Sanders, have been charged with accessory after the fact to 1st Degree Murder in connection with the manhunt for Austin Drummond, who remains at large.
Drummond, who allegedly committed the murders last week in Tiptonville, is being pursued by authorities. The victims of the crime, including an infant found on a stranger’s lawn, are related to Drummond’s girlfriend.
U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller emphasized the importance of capturing Drummond and urged anyone with information to come forward. The reward for information leading to Drummond’s arrest has been raised to $17,500.
It is still unclear how Thomas, Brown, and Sanders assisted Drummond, but they have been described as his “associates.” All three individuals are residents of Jackson.
Thomas is currently in custody at the Madison County Jail on an unrelated charge and will be transferred to the Lake County Jail to face the new charges. Brown, who was arrested on Friday, is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail. Sanders, detained on Monday, will also be transferred to the Lake County Jail.
Drummond is facing multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and weapons offenses. Authorities have warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Last week, a vehicle driven by Drummond was discovered abandoned in Jackson, approximately 70 miles southeast of Tiptonville.
The victims of the quadruple murder have been identified as James M. Wilson, Adrianna Williams, Cortney Rose, and Braydon Williams.
