WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)?
Increasing trust in AI for health
Surprisingly, trust in AI is rapidly increasing. Approximately 63% of Americans find AI to be a reliable source for health guidance. This percentage is higher than those who trust social media (43%) or influencers (41%), although lower than those who rely on doctors (93%) or friends (82%). Furthermore, in terms of convenience, 31% of users prefer asking AI over searching Google, and 27% find it easier than seeking advice from a health professional.

Factors driving the surge of AI in wellness
This trend is part of a larger movement. A significant 73% of Americans are interested in staying updated on the latest health trends, and 68% believe that AI will have a more prominent role in the future of wellness.
Additional insights from the Trend Report include:
- 51% are more knowledgeable about peptides compared to five years ago.
- 66% are incorporating more protein into their diets.
- 54% prioritize sleep and rest over workouts.
- 44% are embracing aging gracefully, while only 21% actively try to combat it.
These changes reflect a comprehensive view of wellness that emphasizes physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Supplements and smart health trends in 2025
Supplements continue to be a focal point for many individuals. Currently, about 69% of Americans take supplements. With the introduction of new delivery methods such as gummies, chews, and liquids, 34% find it easier than ever to adhere to a supplement regimen. Additionally, traditional adaptogens like shilajit are gaining popularity among younger consumers, and there is increasing demand for innovations like NAD+ for longevity and peptides for recovery. According to Muriel Gonzalez, president of The Vitamin Shoppe, “AI is just one component of a broader evolution in wellness.”

Implications for you
If you are seeking to enhance your wellness routine, AI could serve as a valuable starting point. Whether you need dietary recommendations, emotional support, or a new exercise regimen, these tools are becoming more precise and accessible. However, it is essential to remember that AI is most effective when combined with reliable information, professional guidance, and healthy habits. Consider it as a supplement, not a replacement, for making well-informed health decisions.
Kurt’s key takeaways
AI is reshaping how individuals approach health. By simplifying self-care and assisting people in making informed decisions, it is evident that AI is becoming an integral part of everyday wellness. With more emphasis on sleep, mental health, and balanced nutrition, the future of health appears to be holistic, personalized, and data-driven.
