Authorities have confirmed that one of the victims of a shooting in Baltimore, Maryland has tragically passed away. The victim, a 38-year-old man, died from his injuries this morning, prompting the Baltimore Police Department to launch a homicide investigation.
Police responded to a call about a shooting at Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues on Saturday at 8:46 p.m. Upon arrival, they found six victims – four males and two females, including a 5-year-old girl who sustained a gunshot wound to her hand. Fortunately, Police Commissioner Richard Worley stated that the child’s injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
The other victims include a 23-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 33-year-old man, and a 52-year-old man. According to police, these victims are all suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
During a news briefing, Worley mentioned that the shooting took place while people were gathered outside and a gunman suddenly opened fire.
Authorities have not disclosed any potential motives for the shooting and no suspects have been apprehended thus far.
