In a surprising turn of events, Brock Lesnar made his comeback to the WWE on Sunday night during SummerSlam, where he interrupted John Cena’s farewell to fans at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Cena had just suffered a tough loss in a street fight against Cody Rhodes, forfeiting his Undisputed WWE Championship. As Cena was bidding goodbye to the audience, Lesnar’s entrance music blared through the arena.

The crowd erupted with excitement as Lesnar made his way down the ramp and confronted Cena. He delivered his signature move, the F5, to Cena before leaving the ring, hinting at a potential rematch between the two rivals.

Lesnar, a 10-time WWE champion, one-time Money in the Bank winner, and two-time Royal Rumble winner, had been absent from the WWE scene since 2023 after his feud with Rhodes.

The WWE Universe was taken aback by Lesnar’s return, as it had been quite a while since he was last seen in WWE circles. His last encounter with Cena was in a triple-threat match at Royal Rumble 2015 and in a singles match at Night of Champions 2014.

Lesnar’s comeback comes amidst legal controversies involving former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, but Lesnar himself was not charged with any crime and has remained silent on the matter.
