Brooke Hogan has finally broken her silence following the unexpected passing of her father, Hulk Hogan. The WWE legend, born Terry Gene Bollea, tragically died at the age of 71 after suffering a cardiac event at his Florida residence on July 24. Brooke, 37, who was not on good terms with Hulk at the time of his death, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her father, shedding light on the true nature of their relationship.
In a series of written posts shared on social media, Brooke expressed the deep bond she shared with her father, emphasizing that their connection transcended words and spanned lifetimes. She revealed that they had a sacred bond that was visible to anyone who saw them together, and that even in his final moments, their bond remained unbroken.
Brooke clarified misconceptions about her relationship with Hulk that were portrayed in the media, stating that they never had any significant arguments or fights. She explained that their disagreements were private conversations that no one else would understand. Despite their differences, Brooke emphasized that their bond never wavered.
The daughter of Hulk Hogan detailed how she and her husband, former NHL star Steven Olesky, moved to Florida to support Hulk during his health struggles. She recounted the challenges they faced as Hulk’s health declined and how she felt a sense of disconnect as their disagreements took an emotional toll on her.
Brooke shared that Olesky had tried to mend the relationship between her and her father by reaching out to Hulk without her knowledge. After Hulk’s passing, Brooke discovered the messages exchanged between Olesky and her father, which broke her heart but also gave her peace knowing that she had done everything she could to repair their relationship.
Despite the estrangement from her father, Brooke expressed gratitude for the loving family she has with her husband and their fraternal twins, son Oliver Andrew and daughter Molly Gene. She reflected on the special memories she shared with Hulk and the deep connection they had for a few years, which she will cherish forever.
Brooke and Olesky tied the knot in 2022 and welcomed their twins in January 2025. Hulk Hogan, who also has a son named Nick, shared with his ex-wife Linda Hogan. The family’s life was showcased on the reality TV show “Hogan Knows Best,” which aired from 2005 to 2007. Despite rumors of a strained relationship between Brooke and Hulk, the family faced its share of challenges but always remained connected through love and memories. In March, Linda revealed that she had not seen Brooke in over eight years, attributing it to Hulk’s behavior. “Brooke doesn’t talk to us. She had twins, she got married [and] she didn’t tell us.”
Following Linda’s accusations against Hulk, Brooke responded on Instagram and clarified that she had cut off contact with her parents for individual reasons.
“Each individual, on their own, has given me more than enough reasons over the years to make this extremely hard and painful decision to end contact,” Brooke shared in a lengthy statement on Instagram. “As much as I not only understand and have empathy for their own struggles, I absolutely LOVE them with every fiber of my being – which deep down I think they know. My heart hurts every day, and not a day passes it does not affect me. Inside of me, there is a little girl who desperately wants and needs her Mom and Dad.”
