In return for the removed death penalty, Kohberger will serve four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole for the four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary.
The Latah County Prosecutors Office recently released images of a 3D model of 1122 King Road in Moscow, Idaho, where the tragic murders occurred.
The King Road house was demolished in December 2023, but the prosecutors intended to use the 3D replica during the now-canceled murder trial. The 3D model version of the house includes both the exterior and interior, showcasing various rooms but without any furnishings.
According to reports, Judge Steven Hippler lifted the gag order on anyone involved in the case after Kohberger’s sentencing on July 23, allowing for the release of investigative documents. Police reports revealed that Goncalves and Mogen were found together covered by a pink blanket soaked in blood.
“It was obvious an intense struggle had occurred,” police described the scene, noting defensive knife wounds on Xana’s hands and the discovery of a tan leather knife sheath.
The 3D model of the house and the details of the case shed light on the tragic events that took place on that fateful day.
