Chrisleys’ Post-Prison Adjustment Struggle After Trump Pardon

Todd and Julie Chrisley are transitioning back to life after being released from prison. The reality TV couple mentioned that life outside of prison has been more challenging than their time behind bars.

During their podcast episode, Julie, 52, shared her conversations with other women who have already been released from prison, highlighting the difficulties of readjusting to normal life.

Todd, 56, expressed that while the physical conditions in prison were tough, the emotional and psychological toll of dealing with everyday life outside of bars is even harder.

Julie emphasized the advice she received in prison about not trying to live in both worlds simultaneously as it can drive a person crazy. She mentioned how being away from family for a prolonged period can make one feel disconnected from the world.

The Chrisleys, known for their reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” were convicted of federal bank fraud and tax evasion but have maintained their innocence. They were released from prison in May after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump.

Since their release, Todd and Julie have been navigating the challenges of adjusting back to their daily routine. Todd even admitted to getting better sleep in prison than at home due to family responsibilities.

Julie shared how prison forced her to focus on herself, away from parenting and family drama. She highlighted the importance of self-care and self-improvement during her time behind bars.

Todd credited faith, family, and fitness for helping him cope during his incarceration. He mentioned staying connected with his children and wife through daily communication as a source of strength.
