After getting back up, the man took a step and fell back down. Several individuals helped him stand up again, with one person commenting, “My man’s drunk.”
Despite his injuries, the man managed to stand up again, showing signs of bleeding from his head, nose, and mouth.
A woman tried to come to the man’s aid but was also attacked by the crowd. She received two severe blows to the face, causing her to fall unconscious after hitting the pavement.
The identities of the initial aggressors remain unclear. The man and woman targeted in the video are white, while the majority of the crowd involved in the assault are black.
Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge expressed her disgust at the incident, labeling the behavior as “cruel and absolutely unacceptable.” She clarified that the brawl was a spontaneous dispute arising from a verbal altercation.
