Below are the details from the newly declassified records:
Declassified Presidential Daily Brief
The documents showed that in the months leading up to the November 2016 election, the intelligence community believed that Russia was not using cyber means to influence the election. For example, a briefing on Dec. 7, 2016, stated that foreign adversaries did not alter the election outcome using cyberattacks on election infrastructure.
The declassified Presidential Daily Brief, dated Dec. 8, 2016, stated that Russian and criminal actors did not impact the election results through cyber activities. The brief mentioned various attempts but concluded that they did not have a significant disruptive effect.

The FBI’s dissent to the original Presidential Daily Brief was also mentioned in the declassified communications. The FBI drafted a dissent, delaying the publication of the brief.

Further communications revealed that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence decided to delay the publication of the brief based on new guidance.
Declassified House Intelligence Committee Report
A report from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in 2020 stated that there was no direct information suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to help elect Donald Trump in 2016. However, at the direction of President Obama, potentially biased or implausible intelligence was published to suggest otherwise.
The report focused on the creation of the Intelligence Community Assessment of 2017, which included discredited information from the anti-Trump dossier.

The report highlighted that the ICA was rushed and subject to unusual directives, resulting in a lack of coordination and challenges to its conclusions.
The report also detailed how certain reports were misrepresented as reliable, even though they had significant flaws.

The report concluded that the ICA suppressed intelligence and selectively quoted reliable sources to push the narrative that Putin preferred Trump over Clinton.
Declassified Hillary Clinton section of House Intelligence Committee Report
One section of the declassified report mentioned Russian intelligence on Democratic National Committee information regarding Hillary Clinton’s health and other personal details.

The report also mentioned campaign emails discussing plans to link Putin and Russian hackers to candidate Trump to distract from the Clinton email server scandal.
These revelations shed light on the events surrounding the 2016 election and the subsequent investigations.
