Actor Dennis Quaid is enjoying a blissful marriage with Laura Savoie, and he couldn’t be happier. The couple tied the knot five years ago and Quaid described his life with her as paradise.

“My life is paradise,” Quaid shared with Fox News Digital. “Every day is paradise with her. It really is.”

The couple, with a significant age gap, got married in June 2020 in Santa Barbara, California. Despite the age difference, Quaid emphasized that their relationship is the closest he has ever had with anyone.

“It’s the closest relationship I’ve ever had with anybody. Every day is paradise. What can I tell you? I don’t know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I’m] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers,” Quaid expressed.

Quaid also mentioned that their shared faith has played a significant role in their strong connection, stating, “We’re both Christians, and right from the start God has always had a hand in the relationship. I think that’s where the real strength comes from.”

Quaid, who has been married three times before, expressed that his marriage to Savoie feels different and he believes she is his final partner in life.

The couple originally planned a Hawaiian wedding but had to change their plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they had an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara with only their pastor as a witness.

Both Quaid and Savoie described their love for each other as “love at first sight” and appreciated each other’s qualities and maturity.

“It was love at first sight,” Quaid said. “I just love who she is as a person. Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty. And her point of view of the world.”

Savoie added, “Just getting to do life with someone who lives that way is inspiring for me. It changes my perspective and it brings so much joy to every day.”

The couple is grateful for their relationship and the support they have received, despite some backlash due to their age difference. Quaid emphasized that their love for each other transcends any external opinions.

A new study has found that spending time in nature can have a positive impact on mental health. Researchers at the University of Michigan have discovered that just being in a natural setting for as little as 10 minutes can help reduce feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress.

The study involved over 100 participants who were asked to take a 10-minute nature walk at least three times a week. The results showed that the participants reported significant improvements in their mood and overall well-being after spending time outdoors.

According to the lead researcher, Dr. Mary Smith, “This study highlights the importance of incorporating nature into our daily lives. Even a short walk in a park or spending time in a garden can have a profound impact on our mental health.”

The findings of this study are particularly relevant in today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world. With increasing rates of anxiety and depression, taking the time to connect with nature may be a simple yet effective way to improve mental health.

So next time you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, consider taking a short walk outside and immersing yourself in the beauty of nature. Your mind will thank you for it.
