Dominik Mysterio Keeps Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam 2025

Dominik Mysterio faced off against A.J. Styles at SummerSlam with hopes of proving himself as the intercontinental champion.

He took inspiration from Eddie Guerrero and utilized some underhanded tactics against Styles.

Despite Styles’ efforts, Mysterio managed to outsmart him. With a quick move behind the referee’s back, Mysterio used his boot to strike Styles and secure the victory with a frog splash.

Mysterio had previously won the Intercontinental Championship in a fatal four-way match at WrestleMania and successfully defended it against Penta and Octagon Jr. before defeating Styles.

“King of the Luchadores. Remember the name, ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio,” he proclaimed as he exited the ring.

Mysterio is now eyeing the AAA Mega Championship and will compete in a fatal four-way match for the title. Meanwhile, Styles was left stunned by the defeat.

Styles hinted that this could potentially be his last SummerSlam appearance, leaving fans to ponder about his future in the wrestling world.
