Authorities in Washington have launched an extensive search for a survivalist father who is wanted for his suspected involvement in the deaths of his three daughters after receiving a tip about a possible sighting of the man.

The King County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a potential sighting of Travis Decker near Washington’s Snoqualmie Pass and Pacific Crest Trail, which is about 55 miles from Seattle.

A community member contacted authorities around 6 p.m. on Friday to report the sighting. In response, the police deployed numerous deputies, TAC-30, and K-9 units. Nearby agencies were also informed.

After approximately three hours, the search for Decker was called off without locating him.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, which initiated the search for Decker, recently announced a reduction in manhunt efforts due to a decrease in tips from the community.

Last month, a tipster reported a potential sighting of Decker in Idaho’s Sawtooth Forest, which turned out to be a false alarm.

The 33-year-old father has been missing for over two months following the discovery of his daughters’ bodies – Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5 – at Rock Island Campground on June 2.

Decker, a military-trained survivalist and former U.S. Army member, is charged with three counts of aggravated first-degree murder and kidnapping.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $20,000 reward for any information leading to Decker’s arrest.

The King County Sheriff’s Office did not respond immediately to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
