Founder of bikini brand dies at Montauk yacht club

The body of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a 33-year-old Manhattan fashion entrepreneur famous for her luxury bikini brand and engaging social media presence, was discovered on a docked boat at an exclusive marina on the eastern end of Long Island.

The Suffolk County Police Department’s Homicide Squad detectives are currently looking into the death of the Manhattan woman, who was found unresponsive on a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club early Tuesday morning.

Reportedly, the East Hampton Town officers received a call just after midnight from a man who spotted an unconscious woman on a vessel docked at the luxurious marina on Star Island Road. Despite the efforts of nearby individuals to perform CPR, the woman was declared dead at the scene, as per the police.

Authorities have identified the deceased as Nolan, an ambitious entrepreneur.

Initial investigations and a medical examination have not determined the cause of death. A final ruling will be made after an autopsy by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The New York Post mentioned that a member of the Montauk Yacht Club reported hearing screams from the docks late Monday, just hours before Nolan was found.

Originally from Carlow, Ireland, Nolan founded East x East, a boutique resort wear brand that she often promoted on TikTok through stylish behind-the-scenes looks at her photo shoots and design process.

One video from a Mallorca campaign showcased the project as “a beautiful love story,” with Nolan expressing joy in seeing her visions come to life.

Her recent posts included a video from July celebrating a pop-up event at Gurney’s Resort in Montauk, captioned “Goals Achieved,” showcasing the success of her marketing efforts in the Hamptons.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Nolan obtained her Bachelor of Commerce and Master’s degree in Digital Marketing from University College Dublin before relocating to New York City at the age of 26.

The Montauk Yacht Club is a popular spot for summer tourism and caters to an upscale clientele. The Long Island hotel is situated by the ocean.

A representative for the Montauk Yacht Club, where the boat was docked, acknowledged the incident but declined to provide further details.

“We are saddened by the incident that occurred,” the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “Our team is cooperating with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation and remains committed to the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. We have no further comment at this time.”
