Wrestling enthusiasts could soon have a chance to see a new side of Hulk Hogan following his passing.
The iconic professional wrestler passed away at the age of 71 at his home in Clearwater, Florida, prompting an outpouring of tributes from the sports community.
Reports indicate that a documentary about Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, is in the works. The project is a collaboration between Netflix, Words + Pictures, and WWE. Hogan participated in over 20 hours of interviews for the documentary, which has been in development since last year.
Netflix has a track record of producing sports-related content, including documentaries and live broadcasts of sporting events. The streaming platform had previously worked on a movie about Hogan, with actor Chris Hemsworth set to portray the wrestling legend.
Hogan, who was a key figure in the World Wrestling Federation, achieved numerous world championships and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. In addition to his wrestling career, Hogan also ventured into business, launching Real American Beer in 2024 and Real American Freestyle wrestling promotion in 2025.
Despite his sporadic appearances in later years, Hogan is recognized for his significant impact on the WWE and the sport of wrestling as a whole.
