New details have emerged about arrests made by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the Houston area in the last six months. The Houston ICE Field Office has apprehended 214 undocumented immigrants who were charged or convicted of a sex offense involving a minor under the current administration.

This number surpasses the total arrests made by the Houston Field Office during the entire 2024 fiscal year, when they detained 211 undocumented immigrants charged or convicted of a child sex offense, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Out of the 214 criminal undocumented immigrants apprehended, 179 had received final orders of removal from an immigration judge. Of these, 141 have already been deported.

“Thanks to ICE Houston, 214 dangerous individuals are no longer on our streets. These are the type of predators that ICE is focusing on and removing from our country,” stated DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “President Trump and Secretary Noem are committed to keeping these criminals away from children in the U.S. Our message to these depraved individuals is clear: LEAVE NOW. If you don’t, we will find you and deport you.”
