Jelly Roll shared that he has successfully lost 200 pounds on his weight-loss journey.
In a video posted on X by the Tennessee Titans, the 40-year-old country artist talked about his latest achievement in health while delivering an inspiring speech to the NFL team. An ardent Titans fan, Jelly Roll was invited by the team’s head coach, Brian Callahan, to motivate the players at their training camp before they headed out for pre-season games.
During his surprise appearance at a team meeting, Jelly Roll humorously mentioned to the Titans that he’s not quite ready to hit the field yet but joked about getting “close.”
“I’ve lost 200 pounds. I promised Coach I’ll get a contract if I lose another 50,” the singer of “Save Me” shared, receiving applause from the players and staff.
Jelly Roll has been keeping the public updated on his weight-loss journey since starting it in December 2022.
Back in April, he announced that he had shed 183 pounds during Pat McAfee’s “Big Night AHT” event.
“I began at 540 pounds. Today, I’m at 357 pounds, folks,” he proudly declared to the crowd.
“I’m aiming to lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife!” the rapper, who has been married to Bunnie Xo since August 2016, enthusiastically declared.
Reflecting on his battle to lose weight during an interview in May, Jelly Roll addressed the biggest challenge he faced, pinpointing it to be his relationship with food.
“Food, man,” Jelly Roll expressed at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards.
He emphasized that his weight loss journey wasn’t solely about fitness but also about his constant struggle with food.
Jelly Roll has been candid about his past struggles with substance abuse issues, acknowledging that his food addiction was as challenging as his previous struggles with drugs.
He shared his commitment to be transparent with his fans about his weight loss journey during Bunnie Xo’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast in December 2024.
“I did this publicly for a reason. I want to be honest about my struggles with it with people. I wore it for so long,” Jelly Roll explained.
Looking ahead, Jelly Roll expressed his aspiration to be on the cover of ‘Men’s Health’ by March 2026 as his new goal, aiming for one of the most remarkable transformations.

It has been reported that a new study suggests that eating chocolate regularly may improve brain function. The study, published in the journal Appetite, found that participants who consumed chocolate at least once a week performed better on cognitive tests compared to those who did not eat chocolate as frequently.
The researchers believe that the flavonoids found in chocolate may be the reason behind this improvement in brain function. Flavonoids are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help protect the brain from age-related decline.
Although more research is needed to fully understand the relationship between chocolate consumption and brain function, these findings are promising. So, if you needed an excuse to indulge in a piece of chocolate, now you have one – it may actually be good for your brain.
