Jessica Simpson discovers her musical voice in Nashville for her comeback

Jessica Simpson has found solace, purpose, and her voice once again outside the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. Following a 15-year break from music, the singer and actress shared how stepping away from the Los Angeles spotlight allowed her to rediscover herself.

Simpson expressed the need for a place where she could truly be herself, and she found that place in Nashville. She explained that the city’s songwriting culture reignited her creativity and inspired her to make music once more.

Reflecting on her time away from music, Simpson stated that she found clarity and emotional healing through the process of creating new music. Earlier this year, she and her ex-husband, Eric Johnson, decided to split after 10 years of marriage. Simpson shared that creating music helped her navigate through the emotional turmoil of the separation.

Not only did Simpson focus on her music, but she also emphasized the importance of resilience to her children. As a mother, she wants her daughters and son to understand that they can overcome any obstacle as long as they stay true to themselves and their purpose.

Now as a single woman, Simpson is open to the idea of dating again. She admitted feeling slightly apprehensive but expressed her desire for a partner who is authentic, confident, and devoid of ego.

Despite the challenges she has faced, Simpson remains optimistic about the future. She recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of her billion-dollar fashion brand, the Jessica Simpson Collection, marking a new chapter in her life. Jessica Simpson expressed her desire to pass on the independence she currently enjoys to someone else, stating that it would be cool to do so. However, she mentioned that a non-negotiable requirement for this person would be to be a very good kisser.

As Simpson embarks on the next phase of her life, she recently marked a significant career achievement – the 20th anniversary of her billion-dollar fashion brand, the Jessica Simpson Collection.

Turning 45 on July 10, Simpson reflected on a conversation with her mother, who mentioned that she was the same age when they started the brand. Despite feeling old at the realization, Simpson acknowledged the valuable lesson her mother imparted – that one can start over at any age.
