Kelly Clarkson has decided to postpone more shows from her Las Vegas residency.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the “Since U Been Gone” singer explained, “Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I usually keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father [ex-husband Brandon Blackstock] has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
Kelly Clarkson expressed her apologies to everyone who purchased tickets for the shows and thanked them for their understanding and kindness.
Representatives for Clarkson have not responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
Last month, Clarkson postponed the opening of her residency just hours before it was set to begin.
“Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency,” which was announced in February, was initially scheduled to start at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 4. There were 18 performances planned through Nov. 15.
Hours before her scheduled performance, Clarkson announced on Instagram that she would be postponing the show to protect her voice.
“We have been working nonstop to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my amazing fans,” the 43-year-old shared. “I am beyond grateful for your continued support, and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.
“The preparation and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice,” Clarkson admitted. “I want the shows to be perfect for all of you, and I need to ensure that I don’t cause serious damage, so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.
“The show is truly incredible,” Clarkson emphasized. “The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start off strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show you all what we’ve been working on.”
In March, the songstress celebrated her 1,000th episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
During the same month, Clarkson was absent for nearly two weeks while various celebrities acted as guest hosts. She returned on March 18 only to have another guest host take her place the following day. She returned for the March 20 episode.
Clarkson’s 1,000th episode came after she went through a tough few years, dealing with a highly publicized divorce from Blackstock. The divorce was finalized in 2022, with Clarkson receiving primary physical custody of their two children, River and Remington.
