Paulina Porizkova embraces her age and body with pride.
The 60-year-old supermodel recently posted two photos on Instagram, showcasing her vulnerability and reflections on aging.
In one photo, Porizkova is seen in a white bikini lounging on a day bed near water. The second image shows her in a mirror selfie in underwear in a bathroom.
“This is me. Vacation mode, good lighting, posing for a photo,” she captioned the post. “This is also me. At home, not the best lighting, not posing. This is 60.”
“This is 60 years of fluctuating between healthy eating and not, working out and slacking off. It’s about learning what works and what doesn’t, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, everything changes,” she continued.
“The beauty of being 60 is understanding that the importance lies in the lesson, not just passing the test,” she concluded.
Porizkova is known for her authenticity with her followers.
Last year, she shared about the challenges she faced following the death of her husband, Ric Ocasek.
After posting a video of herself in tears on the fifth anniversary of Ocasek’s passing, Porizkova explained her decision to show vulnerability to her fans.
“For years, I pretended to be fine. I acted strong for the sake of my loved ones, but in reality, I was struggling. By acknowledging my pain, I found solace in knowing that others shared similar experiences,” she wrote.
Porizkova met Ocasek in 1984 and got married in 1989. After almost three decades together, they decided to separate in 2018.
Recently, Porizkova announced her engagement to writer Jeff Greenstein, her partner of two years.
