Authorities in Jackson, Tennessee, have issued a warning for residents in certain areas of the city to stay indoors after quadruple murder suspect Austin Drummond was seen with a rifle.

A reliable source linked the shelter-in-place directive to the search for Drummond.

The Jackson Police Department reported a confirmed sighting of Drummond in the 700 block of Pipkin Road in Jackson on Sunday, describing him as “armed and dangerous.” Surveillance footage from a local church captured the sightings, according to Jackson Police Department Public Information Officer Stephanie Graham.

“Exercise caution when entering or leaving your homes. Drummond is believed to still be in the vicinity, so remain vigilant,” authorities advised. “Make sure all doors, garages, sheds, and other structures are securely locked to prevent unauthorized access. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity captured on camera systems.”

The location of Drummond’s sighting is approximately four miles from where investigators found an abandoned vehicle believed to have been driven by him last week.

In one of the surveillance videos released by police, Drummond appeared to be attempting to enter a building around 11 p.m. on Sunday.

The reward for information leading to Drummond’s capture has increased to $32,500, with the U.S. Marshals Service Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force aiding in the search.

“Our main focus is locating Austin Drummond and ensuring justice for the victims’ families. The collaboration of agencies at all levels, including the Office of Governor Bill Lee, demonstrates our dedication to maintaining peace and ensuring community safety,” stated U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller.

Drummond, 28, is currently on the run after allegedly committing four murders in Tiptonville, a town around 125 miles from Memphis.

The victims – James M. Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15 – were found deceased in Tiptonville on Tuesday. An infant discovered on a stranger’s front lawn on July 29 is related to all four victims.

Drummond faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and weapons offenses.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested three individuals described as “associates” of Drummond so far.
