Christian Huff, who married Sadie Robertson and became part of the “Duck Dynasty” family five years ago, is striving for more than just being known as the guy who married into the family.

In an exclusive preview of the season finale of “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” there was a touching moment between Huff and his famous in-laws as he aimed to secure a more significant role within the Duck Commander family legacy.

Huff is eager to impress his father-in-law, Willie Robertson, in the hopes of proving that he has more to offer than just being a husband. He wants to be seen as a potential business partner within the Duck Commander family.

With the impending arrival of baby No. 3 for Sadie and Huff, he is looking to demonstrate his capabilities to Willie, not only as a husband and father, but also as a valuable addition to the family business.

“Christian has been quietly building up the courage to approach Willie about taking on a role in the company,” revealed Korie Robertson on the show. “But he is quite nervous about it.”

Huff made a bold move by organizing an archery-themed gender reveal, not just for fun, but as a strategic moment to catch Willie’s attention and pitch himself for a bigger role in the family business.

Although his nervousness was evident in the episode, he candidly shared the challenges of marrying into a close-knit, faith-driven family and the difficulty of connecting with Willie on a deeper level.

“It’s a unique relationship,” Sadie acknowledged during the season finale. She mentioned that her husband often felt like an outsider, unsure of how to establish a stronger bond with the man who is the face of Duck Commander.

During the gender reveal event, Huff made several attempts at the target, missing the bullseye each time. Despite feeling disappointed and emotional over what seemed like a missed opportunity, Sadie quickly stepped in to express her pride in him.

Surprisingly, Willie also acknowledged Huff’s efforts. “I wasn’t impressed with the archery,” joked Willie. “But I was impressed with his determination.”

When asked if Huff is prepared to join the family business full-time, Willie did not give a definitive answer. “Is he ready for Duck Commander? I don’t know,” he remarked. “Maybe there’s potential for that in the next season.”

Sadie and Huff got married on Nov. 25, 2019, on the Robertson family’s Louisiana farm. They welcomed their first daughter, Honey James, in 2021, followed by daughter Haven Belle Huff in May 2023. The gender of their third child will be revealed in the upcoming episode.

The season finale of “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” signifies a significant moment for the Robertson family, particularly for Sadie, who has transitioned from a teenage reality star to a wife and mother.

“She has always been transparent about her life, her challenges — the highs and lows,” Korie mentioned in an interview. “That’s what resonates with people.”

“I’m proud of her — and all of our kids — for being beacons of light in the world and sharing, ‘We’re not perfect… but here’s what we’re learning from God through it,’” Korie added. “And hopefully, we’re conveying that message through the show as well.”

The season finale of “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” is set to air on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.

A second season of the show is currently in production with a premiere date to be announced soon.
