ESPN has made a deal to acquire the NFL Network and other media assets, including the popular RedZone channel, from the NFL.
As part of this historic agreement, the NFL will receive a 10% equity stake in ESPN, the two parties announced on Tuesday.
Some football fans expressed concern about potential changes due to this shift in ownership.
However, host Scott Hanson reassured fans that he will continue to host RedZone as usual for the upcoming season. He took to social media to share his excitement about the 2025 season under the new partnership between ESPN and the NFL.

Hanson’s contract with NFL Media expired at the end of the previous season, but he confirmed that he has negotiated a new deal to return for the 2025 season.

Under the terms of the agreement, the NFL will continue to produce RedZone channel programming from its studios in Southern California. ESPN will handle cable and satellite distribution, while the NFL will retain digital distribution rights.

ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it will create a premier destination for football fans and enhance the digital future of ESPN.
NFL Network is expected to be included in ESPN’s upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming service, scheduled to launch this fall.
