Senator Scott’s aerial banner urges New Yorkers to escape socialism and move to Florida

Florida Senator Rick Scott took to the skies of New York City with an aerial message urging residents to consider moving to Florida to avoid socialism, should Zohran Mamdani become mayor of New York City.

The banner could be seen above popular spots like Coney Island and Jones Beach as people enjoyed the sun.

“Hate socialism?” read the aerial ad. “Us too! Move 2 FL.”

In a statement, Scott emphasized that Florida offers an escape from socialism, in addition to its beautiful beaches. He criticized New York City and the politics of Mamdani, stating that the city has shifted from representing the American Dream to a place where only billionaires thrive, Jewish students are targeted, capitalism is rejected, and socialists like Mamdani are celebrated.

Mamdani recently won the Democratic mayoral primary in New York City, positioning him as a strong contender for City Hall. Despite this, not all members of the Democratic establishment have fully embraced the socialist nominee.

Scott highlighted the benefits of capitalism, describing it as the best system in the world that is currently being demonized by Democrats. He emphasized that socialist policies have failed in countries like Cuba and Venezuela, leading many families to seek refuge in Florida.

During his tenure in office, Scott worked to ensure that families in Florida could achieve the American Dream through opportunities for good jobs, education, and safe communities. He expressed disappointment that this dream is fading in New York City, stating that families there deserve better.
