The “Modern Family” actress, 53, took to Instagram on July 25 to share photos of herself in the hospital after undergoing a second knee surgery. Although she did not reveal the reason for the operations, she captioned the post with “Its done! Round 2 🙏🏼❤️❤️#knee.”
One of the photos showed Vergara in a hospital bed, makeup-free, resting her cheek on her hand and smiling for the camera in a hospital gown.

The second photo displayed Vergara’s bandaged right leg with a brace wrapped around her shin.
Many of Vergara’s celebrity friends, including her “America’s Got Talent” co-star Terry Crews, wished her well in the comments. Crews wrote, “❤️❤️❤️ proud of you!”
Lauren Sánchez Bezos and Patrick Schwarzenegger also sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery in the comments section.
