Jeanie Buss, co-owner of Women of Wrestling, expressed interest in the WNBA star’s potential.

“We would love to have Cunningham join us at WOW. She is talented, dedicated, and a fierce competitor!” Buss shared on social media.

Buss’ colleague, Dave McLane, also praised Cunningham’s abilities at a recent event in San Diego.

Cunningham’s actions in a recent game sparked controversy, leading to her consideration for a role in Women of Wrestling.

“I flew to Las Vegas and watched them in action against the Aces, and I would love to have Sophia Cunningham in WOW, because she takes down the competition, and she makes sure that Caitlin Clark is safe on the basketball floor. We’d love to have Sophie in WOW,” McLane stated.

Cunningham’s protective instinct towards Clark during a heated game resulted in ejections and a brawl on the court.

Cunningham’s actions were motivated by a desire to protect her team, especially Clark, in a game where tensions ran high.
