Former wide receiver Sterling Sharpe of the Green Bay Packers has finally been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after a long wait.
Sharpe gave a heartfelt speech and received his bust in Canton, where he also shared a special moment with his brother and fellow Hall of Famer, Shannon Sharpe.
Sterling presented his brother with his gold jacket, reciprocating the gesture after Shannon had previously given him a Super Bowl ring, a gift Sterling described as the most precious he had ever received.
After retiring in 1994, Sterling watched as the Denver Broncos defeated the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII three seasons later. This victory earned Shannon his first championship ring, which he then passed on to his older brother before going on to win two more titles.

During his speech, Sterling expressed the deep bond he shared with his brother and how he had always strived to be a role model for him.
Shannon, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011, had previously declared that Sterling was the better football player between them.
At the ceremony, Sterling jokingly agreed with his brother’s statement and expressed his desire for Shannon to be the only player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame with two gold jackets.
The Sharpe brothers made history as the first sibling duo to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
In a video message played before Sterling’s speech, Shannon praised his brother for his physical style of play on the field.

Shannon described Sterling as a “freight train” on the field, highlighting his physicality and fearlessness in taking on opponents.
Sterling spent his entire career with the Packers, earning numerous accolades and setting records for receptions and receiving touchdowns.
