Tracy Walker, a free agent safety, is facing an extended time on the sidelines as he has been suspended for most of the 2025 NFL season.

The NFL handed Walker a 12-game suspension, although the specific reason for the disciplinary action has not been disclosed publicly.

Even if Walker signs with a team, he won’t be eligible to play until Week 13. The 30-year-old player did not see any regular-season action in 2024.

Previously associated with the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad, Walker was ultimately released by the team. He was originally drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2018 and spent six seasons with them, accumulating impressive stats over 79 games.

His most recent full season was in 2023 with Detroit, where he showcased his skills in various defensive categories. The NFL has not provided a comment on this matter as of now.
