Winona Ryder, now happily settled with boyfriend Scott Mackinlay Hahn, shared some interesting anecdotes about her past crushes in the movie industry.
In an interview with Elle U.K., Ryder revealed that Christopher Walken once gave her a store-bought rotisserie chicken, which she kept longer than normal because she was so enamored by him. She even mentioned that she still has the wishbone and is trying to make it into a necklace.
The duo collaborated on the 2014 political thriller “Turks & Caicos.”
While it wasn’t clear if her fascination with Christopher Walken was romantic or platonic, Ryder vividly described her infatuation with Al Pacino when she was in her early 20s.
She recalled how she expressed her love to Pacino during a workshop for “Richard III,” where Pacino would take her around New York City to try different coffees. Despite her confession, Pacino gently rejected her advances.
Fast forward 10 years later, Ryder met Pacino’s younger girlfriend, highlighting the age gap between them.
Ryder, now 53, joked about throwing herself at the 85-year-old Pacino, emphasizing their friendship and occasional poker games.
She met her current partner, Scott Mackinlay Hahn, at the premiere of “Black Swan” in 2010, where he mistook her for actress Milla Jovovich. Ryder appreciated his charm and straightforward nature when she asked him out on a date.
Ryder considers Hahn as her husband already and revealed that they are planning to tie the knot soon. She praised Hahn’s cooking skills, mentioning that he has the knack for making healthy food delicious, like the curry he made that impressed her.
