A couple visiting Devil’s Den State Park on the day of a double murder claimed they received a menacing look from the suspect accused of the crime.

According to Tony Brueski, host of the “Hidden Killers” podcast, two witnesses encountered a man matching the suspect’s description just before the attack.

“The couple, along with a brother, sister, and a pet dog, saw a man dressed in all black carrying a large mesh athletic bag. They immediately felt uneasy about him,” Brueski told NewsNation.

In the interview, the couple described the interaction as disturbing, saying the man gave them a “death stare” and emitted negative energy.

They later identified the man in photos released by authorities as Andrew James McGann, the suspect in the July 26 killings of Clinton Brink, 43, and his wife Cristen Brink, 41.

Other witnesses noted that the man’s car had duct tape covering the license plate, leading Brueski to believe the attack was planned.

Authorities refuted claims that the Brinks’ family was targeted, stating that the daughters were not the intended victims and that the incident appeared to be random.

The Brinks were fatally stabbed while hiking with their two young daughters. The girls were unharmed and are now under the care of family members.

McGann, who sustained injuries during the attack, confessed to the crime, and DNA evidence confirmed his involvement.

McGann was arrested at a barbershop in Springdale and charged with two counts of capital murder. His arraignment is scheduled for August 14.

Devil’s Den State Park, located about 140 miles northwest of Little Rock, is a remote 2,500-acre park known for its hiking trails and rock formations.
