Following the incident, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham shared a public service announcement on social media urging fans to refrain from throwing objects onto the court.

Chicago Sky player Angel Reese humorously commented on the situation, linking it to a previous joke made by another player.

The Golden State Valkyries emerged victorious with a final score of 73-66, led by Veronica Burton with 18 points.

This incident marked the second time in a few days that a game was disrupted by a flying object, particularly during a Valkyries game. The previous occurrence took place during a game against the Atlanta Dream.
